Atlanta Asian Film Festival Announced Lineup & Schedule For 5th Annual Festival
The organizing committee of the Atlanta Asian Film Festival (AAFF) scheduled a press
conference on Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 11:00 am to noon at Spring Hall at
Global Forum Shopping Center on Buford Highway.
The press conference announced film selections for this year's festival from Oct 9-17,
2009.
Over a dozen films and documentaries for Atlanta premiere, among which film works
nominated at the Academy Awards/Cannes/Sundance for best foreign film, originated
from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines and
Taiwan.

Atlanta Asian Film Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the
Atlanta community about the rich diversity of Asian-Pacific culture through films.
AAFF's goal is to create an annual consciousness-raising celebration of Asian American
cultures through educational and informative films in an entertaining context.
The venues for the festival are Cinefest @ Georgia State University, Georgia Perimeter
College – Dunwoody, Mercer University – Atlanta and University of Georgia - Athens.
Tickets for screening are available online at $8 for adults and $5 for students (with ID).
All Access Pass are available on limited volume at a discounted price of $20.00. All
Access Pass holders will be able to view all screenings at the festival.
A Premiere Night Gala is scheduled for Friday Oct 9 at 6:30 pm at Spring Hall at Global
Forum on Buford Highway. Guests will be treated to a “Taste of Asia” reception and
highlights of this year’s festival films.
Limited tickets for the Premiere Night Gala are available for sale to the public. The
tickets are available for sale at www.atlaff.org at $45.00
Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in New York and Turner Broadcasting Systems
are major Platinum Sponsors of this year’s festival.
